A Thousand Boy Kisses – Book Review

1000 boy kisses

A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.

One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever. Or so they believe.

When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation? Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.
Standalone Young Adult Tearjerker Romance. For ages 14 and up.

This book surpasses any star rating but if I had to give it any, it would be a thousand, for, it is quite simply, as special as special can be…

Beautifully poignant, emotionally profound and deeply romantic; A Thousand Boy Kisses is a first-love, coming of age book journey of a lifetime.

The synopsis is perfect, for me to try and elaborate on an overview would be a total injustice, as this is one story you must go in absolutely blind.

You know it’s good when you read constantly, bar a bathroom break or two over the course of 7 hours in one sitting. A Thousand Boy Kisses has such a magical innocence that I couldn’t help but be cast under its spell as I fell irrevocably in love with two beautifully crafted characters, that were born inseparable soulmates. A love story that starts from early childhood and one that has the power to last an eternity.

There is no doubt about it, this is the best young adult romance I have EVER READ! And that’s a pretty big statement to make for a blogger but I cannot emphasize enough how Rune and Poppy’s story captivated me so completely. I laughed, I cried to the point of sobbing but there was not a moment where I wanted to stop. Not a moment where I felt I couldn’t carry on. My heart was breaking but it was also smitten. To me, this book is everything.

Tillie Cole has a limitless talent – she excels at everything she puts her hand to and this story goes to prove that her penmanship just goes from strength to strength.

This book is love and light with a touch of inner darkness, wrapped in strength and beauty, and I loved every single word. I’m basking in the epic afterglow, my book loving beating heart bursting at the seams. I almost don’t want to share this story with anyone, I want to own it! I’m protective of these characters and I know that I won’t be able to let them go just yet. Its official, I’m amidst one hell of a book hangover, an ailment that I will never tire of.

If there is one new release this year you need to one-click, this is it!!!!

My best book of 2016, so far… but I feel it would take something quite extraordinary to beat it.

This book deserves infinite stars and that is exactly what I’m going to give it. ❤
