The First Frozen 2 Teaser Shows the Sisters Exploring Beyond Arendelle

It brings back the original voice cast, including Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) as well as Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood in undisclosed roles.

The two-minute trailer begins with Elsa trying to find her way off a dark island.

For the first time in (what feels like) forever, we've finally got a look at the hotly anticipated film, and we're losing our minds. This teaser - along with the new poster - were our first hints at them digging more into Elsa's powers and the magic inherent in this world.

Most Disney fans would agree that Wednesday morning's surprise Frozen 2 trailer was nothing short of fantastic. She ties her hair back, then runs at full force into the ocean, waves and all, freezing the water beneath her as she goes.

The trailer ends with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf staring off a cliff into an autumn landscape. The article said the licensing merchandise for the movie earned almost equal what the box office money brought to Disney, but said merchandisers were hurt by a "freeze out". Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have returned for the sequel, as have songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Elsa, I have a feeling we're not in Arendelle anymore.

We awoke this morning to the first teaser trailer for Frozen 2, the sequel to Frozen, Disney's inventive 2013 re-imagining of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen".

The movie will hit theaters just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 22, 2019.
