Sen. Elizabeth Warren officially kicked off her 2020 presidential campaign this weekend, but the Massachusets senator posed that President Donald Trump may not be in a position to challenge her.

Warren said that she typically doesn't mention Trump at events because she thinks he is a symptom, not a cause, of the issues she is campaign on. I never used my family tree to get a break or get ahead.

Warren's comments came a day after Trump took aim at the MA senator over her claims of having Native American heritage when she officially announced her candidacy for a 2020 presidential bid on Saturday. Warren said those richest families, "wanted to be even richer, and they didn't care who got hurt".

Warren was speaking the day after Trump attacked her 2020 candidacy, calling her "Pocahontas", and seemingly making a joking reference to the Trail of Tears - a genocide that forcibly displaced tens of thousands of Native Americans and caused the death of roughly 4,000 in the mid-1800s.

"I don't think there's much doubt of that", she said.Earlier in the day, the Massachusetts Democrat had lamented in Cedar Rapids that the country is in a "dangerous moment", and that, "what happens in 2020 is going to determine the direction of our nation, the direction of our people". "Let him make a full report to the American people and then collectively we can make the decision about what the appropriate next step is".

"Every day there's a racist tweet, a hateful tweet, something really dark and ugly, and what are we as candidates, as activists, as the press, going to do about it?" asked Warren. Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to the 2016 campaign and Russian Federation, and there is no indication that the president himself could be indicted or incarcerated before the 2020 election. "See you on the campaign TRAIL, Liz!" the President tweeted on Saturday.
