'No words.' Officers mourn burned up Krispy Kreme truck

Rest in candies. Police in Lexington, Kentucky ended the year on a tragic note on Monday after a Krispy Kreme Donut truck caught fire... and couldn't be saved.

He escaped unscathed and the fire brigade was able to extinguish the blaze, video of which was posted to Facebook by local news channel Lex 18. No one was hurt in the incident.

Other law enforcement agencies jokingly sympathized with the officers.

"No words", the officers wrote.

Police departments from across the country, including MA, reached out to express their condolences.

It's not clear what caused the accident, but the police department indicated there were no injuries in the accident. "Your brothers and sisters in MA are here for you during these tough times". Prayers to LPD as they deal with this loss.

On Tuesday, Krispy Kreme's official Twitter account reached out to the officers and said more doughnuts are on the way.
