Mayweather dominated Nasukawa, scoring three total knockdowns in the first round before the fight was stopped. After the smoke cleared, it became a three-round boxing match, falling fully in Mayweather's wheelhouse.

The circus that has surrounded Floyd Mayweather's new year bout in Japan against Tenshin Nasukawa lived up to that billing on a rather farcical occasion.

Floyd Mayweather was paid $9 million to beat up a non-boxer who is significantly smaller than him.

The spike over the Christmas period is "deeply concerning", the UK Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes said. Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said the armed forces were ready to offer help if needed.

Although officially retired, Mayweather has said he will continue to take part in exhibition fights, like the one in Toyoko today.

As Mayweather pummeled poor Nasukawa, the broadcasters sounded like the fight was something for the ages, gushing over how awesome Mayweather looked beating up a tiny opponent. Tenshin is a hell of a fighter and he's a great champion. Tokyo, Japan you guys are awesome I want to say thank you. "Tenshin is still undefeated, I did this just to entertain the fans".

Mayweather rocked up to the arena late, causing a 90-minute delay to the scheduled fight time, with a flooded hotel lobby blamed for his delayed arrival. The fight, a three-rounder had it gone the distance, will not appear on either fighter's official record. As you can see, the five-division world champion apparently has no inclinations to return to the ring for a legitimate bout.

"Everyone, thank you again for this year".

The ruthless victory inside two minutes doesn't go down on each of the fighters' records as Mayweather returned to the ring for the first time since his bout against UFC's Conor McGregor in August 2017. He's a great guy, he's a guy fighter. I want to thank God for this event, for my team.

The purse for the event was not disclosed but "Money" hinted on Instagram that he would be making $1 million per minute.
