Ohio State announced Urban Meyer is retiring after the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual and offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over as head coach in a permanent role. You could argue that his responses were hard to interpret.

Brown told reporters that Meyer called him on Tuesday morning to tell him about his decision to retire after the Rose Bowl on January 1, a decision that was announced on Tuesday. I know Florida one time I thought we were close to going. His career winning percentage is the best in program history, and while at Florida, he became the first coach in FBS history with consecutive 13-win seasons. He probably is genuinely uncertain of what the future will hold. He won three Big Ten championships in seven seasons, had an undefeated season, won a national title and beat MI all seven times and never played in a bowl game that wasn't the Sugar, Orange, Cotton or Fiesta.

His time at Ohio State wasn't without controversy. He led the Buckeyes to a national championship two years later. Meyer then retired again citing health issues and chose to move into a broadcasting career with ESPN. And because he's an OH native and popular figure in the state, it only makes sense to project Meyer having interest in the open Cleveland Browns position.

Cavusoglu also criticised the lack of evidence given to Turkey by Riyadh as he urged the kingdom to be "transparent". The Oscar-winning actor was also spotted outside Saudi consul-general's nearby residence.

Day replaced Meyer for the first three games of the season when Meyer was suspended for not disclosing the extent of wrongdoing by assistant coach Zach Smith.

Meyer's first national title win at Florida began a run where the SEC won seven straight titles from 2006-12, boosting the conference's value and innovating both the league and college football as a whole. Meyer came under fire for his response - or lack thereof - in regards to allegations of domestic abuse against one of his assistant coaches. It is a game Ohio State has won 14 of the last 15 times. He coached for two years at Bowling Green and two years at Utah before joining Florida in 2005.

Smith was a sophomore football player at Notre Dame when Ara Parseghian left coaching at the age of 51 and never returned.

National Hockey League approves Seattle expansion team
The franchise will pay an expansion fee of $650 million, which will be equally distributed to 30 National Hockey League teams. Oshie was raised in Everett, Wash., just north of Seattle, and he didn't hesitate when asked what he would name the team.

"When somebody tells me something to my face, I expect it to be the truth", Youngblood told me then.

Amid the scrutiny on Meyer's program, it also emerged that Zach Smith's treatment of his wife had drawn police scrutiny almost 10 years ago - shortly after Meyer first took him on as a graduate assistant at the University of Florida.

In April, Ohio State announced Meyer had signed a two-year contract extension that would keep him at the helm through 2022. Meyer seemed to acknowledge as much when asked whether the suspension would cloud his legacy once he leaves Ohio State.
