Texas couple dies in helicopter crash hours after wedding

Two newlyweds have died in a helicopter crash just hours after tying the knot at their ranch in Texas.

Byler's grandfather, William Byler, said the couple died when a helicopter that had departed the wedding reception crashed.

Family friend Eric Smith announced the news in a Facebook post Sunday, writing: 'I'm absolutely devastated!

The National Transportation Safety Board said in a tweet Sunday morning that the helicopter involved is a Bell 206B.

Wedding attendees have been posting their condolences on social media.

According to the couple's wedding website, nuptials were Saturday at the ranch in Uvalde, which is about 85 miles west of San Antonio.
