Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert was diagnosed with a subtalar dislocation of his right foot and will not need surgery, the team announced Tuesday. He was a joy to watch for everybody in the league and this left teammates of his in tears when it went down.

This is horrific. Brooklyn Nets star guard Caris LeVert landed wrong on his right leg during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was stretchered off the court and immediately taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The Nets, who were originally on Jimmy Butler's list of three teams he wanted to be traded to, had no intentions of including LeVert in those deals because of his potential, and after multiple foot surgeries that forced him to miss time at the University of MI and fall in the 2016 NBA Draft, was fully healthy and looked like an All-Star candidate.

O'Malley said LeVert will begin an unspecified period of rehabilitation and is "expected to return to full strength and resume all basketball activities without any limitations this season".

Dr. Dennis Cardone, a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at NYU Langone Health, said this type of injury usually sidelines an elite athlete for 8-12 weeks.

Irish broadcaster RTE reported that a "stable" text had been agreed on the thorny issue of the Northern Irish border. No-one outside the Cabinet now knows, but the fall-out surrounds how to deal with Ireland and customs checks.

LeVert is only 24-years-old.

LeVert was one of the most improved players this season. In March 2016, LeVert, who was a senior at MI at the time, made a decision to sit out the remainder of the season to focus on recovering from a foot issue that he was dealing with for three months. LeVert was drafted in 2016 despite several injury issues in college. Thanks to this diagnosis, he'll get the unexpected chance to convert more at some point this season.
