Man City waiting for update on De Bruyne injury

The Belgium global was making only his second start of the season following knee ligament damage.

City's update suggests De Bruyne could miss eight fixtures, including next week's derby against Manchester United, two Champions League games and a trip to former club Chelsea next month.

He is expected to miss Sunday's clash with Southampton, Wednesday's Champions League game with Shakhtar Donetsk and the visit of Manchester United on November 11.
