Gregory Ramos of Volusia County is charged with the murder of his mother, Gail Cleavenger.

Lynn Hackett put flowers and a cross outside Gail Cleavenger's DeBary home on Monday, days after her longtime neighbor was killed and authorities arrested Cleavenger's 15-year-old son.

Ramos told police he later buried his mother beneath a fire pit and staged a burglary at the house with the help of two friends, who are also charged.

His Gold Glove streak is the longest active streak in the Majors, the longest since Yadier Molina won eight straight from 2008-15. While Gold Gloves are cool and all, prospective suitors are more interested in his first fully healthy season in three years.

Ramos went to school the next day as normal, before dialing 911 when he got home afterwards.

Chitwood said Ramos admitted to strangling his mother to death Friday morning after an argument over a grade.

Ramos enlisted the help of his friends Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, both 17, to stage the crime scene, police said.

The trio kicked in a door and removed items such as a computer, rifle and Playstation, before driving to a nearby church where they buried Gail's body underneath a fire pit.

The attack took place early Friday morning after Cleavenger called her husband - the boy's stepfather - who was on a business trip in Washington State, and informed him about her son's D grade and the subsequent argument, according to police. He said his mom was missing and her van was still running in the driveway. They are also charged in connection with Cleavenger's murder. Chitwood said detectives were suspicious of Ramos because they noticed scratches on his face. "She was such a small lady", Turner said. 'I have a feeling this is a case we'll be hearing about for years to come. "Very proud of what he did".

In Ceglarek's case, the grandparents, Joe and Marion Cappizzi, of Deltona, who have custody of the teen who turns 18 on December 20, did not even know that their grandchild was not in school on Friday, the day Ceglarek was out helping Ramos, Jacques said. "All our hearts break for this family", Chitwood tweeted on Saturday. He called the suspect a "soulless individual", and probably one of the "top three sociopaths" he ever crossed paths with.
