Bill Gates cancels $5m aid to Saudi following Jamal Khashoggi’s murder

Turkey pressed Saudi authorities on Thursday to tell them the whereabouts of Khashoggi's body, which has not been recovered.

Turkish prosecutors plan to seek the extradition of 18 suspects in the slaying of Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi so they can be prosecuted.

Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who has positioned himself as a Saudi reformer, has denounced the murder as "repulsive" and strongly denied any involvement.

However the Saudi chief prosecutor, who visited Istanbul this week, said Saudi authorities had made no such statement about local collaborators, according to the Istanbul prosecutor's office.

Khashoggi, a U.S. resident and columnist for The Washington Post, was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

"Jamal Khashoggi was not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood". The Saudi attorney general has since acknowledged that Khashoggi was killed in a premeditated murder.

Khashoggi was killed when he walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last month, according to a Turkish prosecutor.

A source close to the Saudi Royal Palace told CNN last week that the location of Khashoggi's body was not known to the Saudis.
