Xbox One October 2018 Dashboard Update Has Rolled Out With New Avatars

They will appear in an animated form on the home screen, activity feed posts, profiles, and a bunch of other places.

Users will find the Avatar Editor features a wide range of body types, moods, clothing, facial expressions, and plenty of other customization options. They're no Miitomo and there's not much avatar-avatar interaction possible, but expressing a little personality to represent you without plastering your face all over Xbox Live never hurt anyone. You can now chose to keep your old avatar, but it's unclear if this will be the case forever.

The Alexa integration is quite a big deal as Amazon has been an early leader in the digital assistant space, and for a limited-time consumers in the United States who buy a qualified Xbox One S or Xbox One X bundle at Amazon.com will get a new Amazon Echo Dot along their purchase.
