On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump ridiculed Christine Blasey Ford, who accuses Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school - a claim Kavanaugh denies.

There's more: Several people who reached out to investigators to offer information said they were also left hanging.

Republicans and Democrats are fighting back and forth in the Senate over the Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.

President Donald Trump for the first time directly mocked Christine Blasey Ford's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee by casting doubt on her testimony during a campaign rally.

Imitating Ford's testimony, Trump, who was himself accused during the 2016 presidential race of sexual misconduct with numerous women, said: "What neighbourhood was it in?"

"I don't know", Trump repeated multiple times. 'Upstairs, downstairs, where was it?' I don't know.

Mitch McConnell Vows To Hold Vote On Kavanaugh This Week
The investigation is not an expansive criminal probe but an additional background check on Kavanaugh. Former classmates have stepped forward to challenge Kavanaugh's testimony about his drinking.

"I know yesterday [McConnell] said that was not going to be the case, but I have a feeling they're probably trying to figure out some way of disseminating this", Corker said. 'Where was the place?' I don't remember. "And a man's life is in tatters", he added.

Collins told reporters: "The president's comments were just plain wrong". Kavanaugh's confirmation could come down to Sens.

'I don't even know him.

Senator Flake was instrumental last week in getting Mr Trump to order an FBI investigation into the allegations against Mr Kavanaugh, after he was confronted in a lift by victims of sexual assault. I don't remember. How did you get there?

Kennedy said that if all findings can not be released, he'dsupportan objective summary of the report to be shared to avoid senators leaking "selected versions that advance their position". The ultimate objective of Democrats - both on the Senate Judiciary Committee and in the Senate as a whole - he says "is to defeat Kavanaugh's nomination, drum up additional support for midterm elections, hopefully flip the Senate, and onward to 2020 where they hope to regain the presidency". Also interviewed were two other people Ford said were present but in a different room: Patrick "P.J".

Opposition among Americans to Kavanaugh has increased since last week's hearing, Reuters/Ipsos polling data showed on Wednesday.

Marquez last faced the Dodgers all the way back on June 30th when he allowed just two hits and one earned run in eight innings. He hasn't started a postseason game since 2014 but in three total playoff outings, is 1-0 with a 2.81 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

The bureau's investigation, ordered last week by President Trump, was created to look into allegations of sexual misconduct leveled at Kavanaugh, who has been accused by three women of separate alleged incidents.

"To discuss something this sensitive at a political rally is just not right".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders dismissed the widespread view that Trump mocked Ford.

Ford told Senate Judiciary Committee that, despite some memory lapses, she was "100 percent certain" it was a drunken Kavanaugh who pinned her to a bed, groped her, and put his hand over her mouth to muffle her screams for help. "In fact, they basically refute what she has said or have never heard of such a party, didn't know anything about it - and in their subsequent Federal Bureau of Investigation interviews in the last 48 hours, they have confirmed that they do not know what she is talking about".

He also lamented the cost of Ford's allegations to Kavanaugh and insinuated that she was part of a conspiracy by the Democrats to discredit him. Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, who questioned Prof Ford during testimony, said she had told a polygrapher it happened in the early 80s, then crossed out the word "early".

Chad Ludington, who attended Yale with Kavanaugh and now teaches history at North Carolina State University, described the young Kavanaugh as a "frequent drinker, and a heavy drinker" who often became belligerent while drunk.

She further added, "In our long conversations, Raj-ji often spoke about Krishna-ji and all she had brought into his life". After Raj Kapoor's death in 1988, she held the entire family together and was exclusively responsible for her 5 kids.
