Remember the part of Kavanaugh's opening statement before the Judiciary Committee last Thursday when he talked about the committee's Democrats destroying his life? "I loved teaching law", Kavanaugh said.

Rebecca Zietlow did not sign the letter but she agrees with her fellow professors that Kavanaugh has displayed a lack of judicial temperament that renders him unqualified to serve on the court.

Harvard University's Undergraduate Council today joined students of Harvard Law School in calling for a "full and fair investigation" of sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh one day after the embattled U.S. Supreme Court nominee informed the Ivy League school he won't be back to teach his January course.

The announcement followed several protests by students and alumni at Harvard, where Kavanaugh had taught since 2009.

"HLS must send a clear message that it takes sexual violence seriously", the letter reads, and adds that the accusations made against Kavanaugh, including those by Christine Blasey Ford of sexual and physical assault, are "credible and grave".

More than 800 students have signed the letter in less than three days. The Harvard Crimson, The Ivy League's newspaper, broke the story shortly after an email sent to law students announced the decision late Monday evening.
