'Fully confident' White House receives Federal Bureau of Investigation report on Kavanaugh

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell filed a motion Wednesday night setting up a Friday vote on whether to limit debate on Kavanaugh's nomination and move forward.

As Senate Republican leaders marched toward a final vote on Mr Kavanaugh's nomination, the three Republicans who could be key to whether Mr Kavanaugh is confirmed - Senators Jeff Flake, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski - criticised Mr Trump for mocking Ford at a political rally in MS on Tuesday.

The poll also showed the largest gap in approval for a Supreme Court nominee Gallup had measured to date, as 84 percent of Republicans were in favor of Kavanaugh's confirmation as opposed to 13 percent of Democrats.

So when they insist now that a vote on Kavanaugh must occur within days, no matter how much time a real investigation might require, their cynicism is all too obvious.

Senate Republicans such as Cornyn have defended the decision not to have the Federal Bureau of Investigation interview Ford again, saying that her recent testimony under oath before the Senate Judiciary committee should suffice.

Kavanaugh's fate remains unclear because three Republicans are undecided: senators Jeff Flake of Arizona, Susan Collins of ME and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

Paul Scholes on ’embarrassing’ Jose Mourinho: Manchester United legend’s tirade in full
I said in pre-season last season was phenomenal to finish second (in the Premier League ). Antonio Conte is another option for United were Mourinho to get the axe.

Separately, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, told reporters, "The president's comments were just plain wrong".

The letter says that in his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, Kavanaugh "displayed a lack of judicial temperament that would be disqualifying for any court, and certainly for election to the highest court of the land". While an interview was conducted with Deborah Ramirez, who said Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at Yale, investigators did not, as far as Ramirez's legal team knew, speak to any of the 20 people she said may be able to corroborate her story.

The FBI was tasked by Trump last week to look into allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against Kavanaugh by three women.

"There's no time and no place for remarks like that", Flake said in an interview with NBC News early Wednesday. "'I don't remember, '" Trump said. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, who is undecided on Kavanaugh, trailing her Republican challenger Kevin Cramer by eight points.

"I don't like what the president said last night".

Trump said he wants FBI to do a very comprehensive investigation, whatever that means according to the senators and the Republicans and the Republican majority. 'Upstairs, downstairs, where was it?' I don't know. In the statement, a man who says he is Ford's former boyfriend says he saw Ford, a psychology professor, coach a friend on how to be less nervous during a polygraph examination.

Mourinho confident his job at Manchester United is not under threat
This game was really bad. "Apart from Marcos Rojo, now we have Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard out". Leaving out forward Alexis Sanchez and starting Martial was portrayed by Mourinho as bowing to public demands.

President Trump's mocking remarks come amid a protracted and heated confirmation process for Kavanaugh.

The letter also says Kavanaugh gave "intemperate, inflammatory" responses and was "discourteous" to senators.

Mr Trump's fellow Republicans control the Senate by a 51-49 margin. He has denied the allegations.

Democrats also demanded that the FBI privately brief the Senate about the investigation before the chamber votes.

"I'm of the view that whatever could be made public should be, but that would be well outside the normal way these things are treated", said Republican senator Roy Bunt. 'I don't know. I don't know. "And right now, that's sort of where our focus needs to be", said Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee, who has traded barbs with Trump and will retire at year's end.

On Tuesday, Graham said he thought Kavanaugh would be nominated.
