Anderson wins Vienna title to seal ATP Finals spot

After the win, Anderson improved his head-to-head record against Nishikori to 4-3, earning his second victory in a row this year against the Japanese player, following his NY semifinal triumph.

Anderson was runner-up to Djokovic at Wimbledon in July but the win in Vienna represented the biggest title of his career.

A tight second set went to a tiebreak with Anderson landing his 13th ace of the match to win his landmark title.
