Unexpected First Look at Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker

Robert De Niro is apparently in talks to join the film as a smug talk-show host who plays a part in driving Phoenix's Arthur (yes, that's his pre-Joker name) to go mad.

The film is scheduled for release on October 4, 2019. Phillips is best-known for directing The Hangover and War Dogs. The set photos that appeared on some publications showed that Phoenix has lost a considerable amount of weight for the role, and that is apparent here.

Manafort averts 2nd trial with plea deal, promises to cooperate with Mueller
Mr Trump went so far as to suggest in a television interview that plea deals with prosecutors "should nearly be illegal". Manafort is the first Trump associate to flip who was inside the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russian operatives.

Ready for a rather mesmerizing first look at Joaquin Phoenix in the Joker movie? It looks like a screen test of Phoenix with a stern look through his long brown hair.

Todd Phillips making a serious, grounded movie about the Joker is odd enough.

Meghan Markle freezing out friends she feels she can't 'trust'
However, like Markle with her messy buns and cross-body bags, the rule didn't stop Diana from loving non-neutral polishes. The Duchess received a deluge of well wishes - and as is proper etiquette, she had thank you cards sent in response.

Joker is an origin movie, and will trace the journey of the Joker from a comedian to the Clown Prince of Crime. It also boasts a modest $55 million price tag, which is significantly lower than most other tentpole flicks in the genre. It's made even more interesting when (huzzah!) you realise the film is being made with no connection to the broader slate of DC Universe films.

Phoenix's look - free of clown makeup - is presumably how we first meet the character in the film. However as unnecessary as the idea sounds, playing the role of the Joker does tend to bring out the best from its actors (though I'm not sure what to call Jared Leto's performance in Suicide Squad). The actor and Phillips have revealed that the film is not going to be a normal superhero movie, stating that it's going to be a relatively low-budget character study instead, which sounds pretty intriguing.

Terry's Chelsea return down to him, says Sarri
The defender has played all 90 minutes in the new Premier League season for Chelsea so far and is relishing working under Sarri. I'm really very happy. "We need another step to be at the same level". "I am not able to think about this as a job, like work.
