'Disappointed' Marouane Fellaini reacts to Manchester United’s draw with Wolves

Jose Mourinho blasted the attitude of his Manchester United players after Saturday's draw with Wolves and said he was more upset with the result than the heavy defeat to Tottenham.

This was a match where we could see all the good and all the bad things from Paul Pogba.

"It was not normal to see the reaction our supporters gave despite losing the game, but I think there was recognition the team has given everything".

Against Wolves, however, you got that gloomy sense of deja vu: United, once again, lacking any kind of attacking direction, just huffing and puffing and hoping a chance comes, without the slightest suggestion that their manager has worked on a way to break teams down in these situations. "They play like I like to play which is like the World Cup final", he said.

'The fact we're on telly against one of the best teams in the Premier League is a challenge for us. We didn't have that.

"The attitude made the difference".

Wolves created three openings in the opening 17 minutes before Fred gave United a barely deserved lead. It was Sanchez's ball into the box which was headed away by Wolves captain Conor Coady, which Paul Pogba flicked into the path of Fred.

But, by the time they equalised seven minutes into the second half, Nuno's team was good value for a goal, even if it owed much to poor United defending.

His cross found Raul Jimenez who laid the ball off for Moutinho to net with a lethal left-foot finish from the edge of the area.

Everybody knows he has a favourite surface but he has also to win on surfaces he is not in love with - so we have to do it.' Commenting more specifically on the match, Mourinho confirmed Antonio Valencia won't play while Luke Shaw may be part of the competition.

Sanchez to start for Man United - Mourinho
Diogo Dalot made his debut for the Red Devils in the 3-0 win over Young Boys on Wednesday evening and received a lot plaudits. I think this is more the influence of the moment.

"I'm more disappointed today than I was against Tottenham". We started poorly, we started both halves at a low intensity. "That's my way of thinking - we should move better, we should move more, yeah".

The Brazilian midfielder, who joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window, scored his first goal for his new club and came close to scoring a second.

I never had a difference of attitude.

"I am optimistic, but a hard season, yes", he said.

Tottenham earned plaudits for their performance at Old Trafford but have lost their last three while Manchester City were shocked by Lyon in the Champions League on Wednesday.
