Ariana Grande temporarily disabled comments from her Instagram after trolls blamed her for the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, a report stated.

Miller - whose real name is Malcolm McCormick - dated Grande for almost two years, before they split in May and she is said to be devastated by Miller's death.

He had been open about his struggles previously, referencing drug abuse and death in his music, particularly in the largely autobiographical 2014 mixtape Faces. "There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time", the Miller family wrote. However, though Grande has called Miller one of her "best friends in the whole world", she later called their relationship "toxic," hinting that his alleged drug use may have been to blame for their breakup.

Grande and Miller were first romantically linked in August 2016 and released several songs together, including "The way" and "My favourite part".

The music world took a huge hit on September 7 when 26-year-old rapper Mac Miller was found dead in his Studio City, CA home from an apparent drug overdose.

Grande confirmed her break up with Mac Miller on May 10.
