Trump talks tougher, now says he warned Putin on meddling

Corker has been adamant about passing legislation that would restrict Trump's ability to impose tariffs, arguing that taxing U.S. allies pushes them away while strengthening Putin. "Unlike previous administrations, this president is actually taking bold action and reform to make sure it doesn't happen again".

Trump faced withering criticism earlier this week after he seemed to side with Putin over the USA intelligence community over Russian interference in the 2016 election. In Helsinki, they said $400 million but corrected the record, they are insinuating I and these other Americans were part of the conspiracy, whether we're criminals and why they want to question us.

Trump's statement received immediate backlash because it directly contradicted comments made by his director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, who said, "We have been clear in our assessment of Russian meddling in our 2016 elections and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy". As the press was being shepherded out, he listened in to several more queries, also dismissing them with a curt "Thank you very much everybody".

The US intelligence agencies believe that Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 presidential elections won by President Donald Trump. When I catch up with an old friend, it's called "having a beer", but when Presidents do it, it's called a "summit" for some reason.

Jackson continued by saying this was the second time in three days that Trump or the White House has reversed course on what the president has said.

Ben Stokes to play in England's first Test against India
Left-arm quick Willey took three for 40 in his nine overs and leg-spinner Rashid three for 49 in his maximum 10. The last couple of games in England might have broken India's recent dream spell in One-day Internationals.

So is all this the indelible stain that the sustained media outrage would suggest? In a particularly testy exchange, Sanders and NBC News' Hallie Jackson battled back and forth over what Trump really meant.

In her first news conference after the Helsinki meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sanders accused the media of going hysterical on issues relating to it. "I'm not reversing it".

They had a lot to discuss.

McFaul called on the White House to "denounce in categorical terms this ridiculous request from Putin". They never paid any taxes, neither in Russian Federation nor in the United States, and yet the money escaped the country. It's not exactly what you just explained. "And they're saying that's on the table - that's what Sarah Sanders said".

"And I think that you can take the fact that the president has credibility because he saw that he had misspoken and he wanted to clarify that yesterday, which he did. So when he sees that he has misspoken, he comes out and he says that".

Melania Trump's 'face falls' after she's introduced to Vladimir Putin
Ryan said he had not spoken with Trump, who hosted Republican members of Congress to discuss another round of tax cuts. Republicans may have been relieved, but they still have questions about that two hour meeting with Putin.

Trump's endorsement of the Russian President over his own intelligence services and his failure to confront Putin on key issues such as Crimea and the Novichok poisonings in the United Kingdom signaled to many that he was giving Putin carte blanche to do what he wants.

"Putin has been harassing me for a long time", McFaul, who was ambassador to Russian Federation under former President Barack Obama, said on Twitter on Wednesday. Russia's prosecutor general wants to interrogate McFaul and other former US officials in a case against Bill Browder, a businessman who has campaigned for sanctions on Russia ever since his lawyer died in a Russian jail.

"I accept our intelligence community's conclusion that Russia's meddling in the 2016 election took place", Trump conceded Tuesday.

Trump then went further than before.

"I'm done apologizing for Donald J. Trump", the Republican said. "I can tell you what my view is - the intelligence community's assessment has not changed, my view has not changed, which is that Russian Federation attempted to interfere with the last election and that it continues to engage in malign influence operations to this day", he said.

Hillary Clinton hits Trump over Putin summit, with a World Cup reference
Warner tells NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that Trump "has been completely reluctant to call out Putin as a bad actor". Last November, in Vietnam, they agreed to maintain open military channels of communications between their forces in Syria.
