Hero pup saves owner from rattlesnake bite in Arizona

He came to the saviour of his owner Paula Godwin after she was confronted by a serpent while hiking in Anthem, Arizona, on Friday.

Todd and his owner, Paula Godwin, were out and about early for a hike near 7th Street and the Carefree Highway Friday. Godwin was enjoying the stroll so much, she didn't notice the rattlesnake, which she said she nearly stepped on.

Godwin said she would've surely been bit if it hadn't been for Todd's heroic actions.

"It just so happened that he got in the way or at least he was too curious to see what was next to my legs, which saved me from getting bitten", she added. "Say a little prayer for my sweet hero". Thankfully, Godwin had a guardian angel in Todd.

Unfortunately, the snake bit the dog, right in the face!

We doubt it and that's what makes Todd the golden retriever such a great mate.

"This is Todd. He saved his human from a rattlesnake yesterday". Within 20 minutes, she said, they were at an animal hospital, where Todd received anti-venom. A true h*ckin hero.
