‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Westworld,’ & Netflix Lead the 2018 Emmy Nominations

Although season seven of Game of Thrones aired in summer 2017, due to the Emmys' eligibility cutoff, the HBO drama had to wait until this year to submit anything for consideration.

Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, and Ann Dowd are all nominated for Supporting Actress, and Joseph Fiennes is nominated for Supporting Actor.

Netflix claiming the top spot at the awards this year isn't just about ousting HBO, it's a milestone for streaming services as a whole. Adrift in third was NBC with 78 nods.

"We're grateful to all our nominees for making this the eighth year we've had 100 nominations or more".

Rhys and Brown will be up against Brown's castmate Milo Ventimiglia, along with Jason Bateman for "Ozark" and Ed Harris and Jeffrey Wright for "Westworld".
