The Reds completed the record-breaking signing of goalkeeper Alisson on Thursday night, with the Brazilian joining Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keïta and Fabinho as the club's fourth summer arrival.

The 25-year-old signed a long-term contract with the Reds after undergoing a medical and completing the formalities of his switch at Melwood.

Alisson had always been linked with a move away from Roma after enjoying a fine season in 2017-18, playing a big role in the side which reached the Champions League semi-finals, before being eliminated by the Reds.

Alisson played in all five of Brazil's matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, where A Seleção were eliminated in the quarter-finals after a 2-1 defeat to Belgium.
