Harvey Weinstein released on $1M bail after arrest over rape, abuse charges

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been charged in the USA with rape, sex abuse and other crimes against two women. Mr Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize for his Weinstein coverage in The New Yorker. Britain has no statute of limits on rape cases; some of the allegations under investigation there date to the 1980s.

Weinstein has consistently denied any allegations of nonconsensual sex.

He has surrendered his passport and been fitted with a monitoring device. As he was handcuffed and transported to court, she followed up with, "Harvey Weinstein ain't smiling now".
