Giuliani: Briefing may prompt calls to end Russian Federation probe

Giuliani said the president's legal team would wait until seeing a report on the substance of information with lawmakers, shared in two separate meetings.

At this time, no one knows what Halper has told Robert Mueller, the special counsel tasked with investigating possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign, but it has been disclosed that Halper met with Page several times over the course of 14 months through September 2017. Also on Thursday, he once again slammed former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

The White House insisted that Flood and Kelly made only "brief remarks before the meetings started to relay the President's desire for as much openness as possible under the law". "The whole thing is already a waste of money". "I support both of them, and I don't really have anything to add to this subject based upon the Gang of Eight briefing that we had today, which was classified".

The two House lawmakers - Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Trey Gowdy - will attend both briefings, as will Kelly, Rosenstein, FBI Director Christopher Wray and National Intelligence Director Dan Coats.

It's blatant obstruction of justice and interference in an ongoing criminal investigation.

"I don't have a great answer for them", Comey said of social media companies including Facebook and Twitter, which were major venues for what US intelligence agencies have said was a Russian-sponsored effort to help President Donald Trump win the 2016 USA election.

The "tapped phones" incident is a good reminder that we've seen this dance before: Trump whips up a conspiracy theory out of the ether and uses it to suggest that he is an unfair victim.

Kim Yong-chol: N Korea leader Kim Jong-un's right hand man
The U.S. and North Korea are seeking common ground on the steps it would take for Kim Jong Un to give up his nuclear weapons. Kim, who is known to be well-versed in denuclearization and security issues, is subject to sanctions by the U.S.

"What motivated putting him in?" Democrats pushed back that they weren't going to get the same information, so a bipartisan briefing will happen today as well.

Clapper clearly responded: "No, they were not". And why did they hide it for so long? And he's still got two and a half years to go. Three former Trump aides have pleaded guilty and are co-operating with the investigation. They spied on my campaign! Initially offered only to Republicans, the briefings were the latest piece of stagecraft meant to publicize and bolster the allegations. The emissary, George Nader, told Donald Trump Jr. that the princes who led Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were eager to help his father win election as president.

Senator Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, said "there's never been a Gang of 8 meeting with a White House presence".

President Donald Trump speaks to the media as he walks across the South Lawn while departing the White House May 23, 2018 in Washington, DC.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly also reportedly attended the meeting. Ryan said afterward that the Intelligence Committee had "the responsibility to ask tough questions of the executive branch" and that the Justice Department was cooperating.

"It should be very easy to brief us", Giuliani said.

The new wrinkle, he said, if the disclosure about the informant.

Boston Celtics looking to send LeBron James packing again
James had eight points and Hill added six to keep the Cavs in it early, but the rest of the team was just 2-for-11 from the field. Brown lit it up with 15 first-quarter points, converting a pull-up jumper with 8.3 seconds remaining that put them ahead 25-20.

Giuliani downplayed the chances that Trump would fire Mueller, a Republican who once was Federal Bureau of Investigation director and has served under GOP presidents.

The FBI has, until now, resisted turning over the documents for fear of revealing confidential sources and methods. The person declined to be identified because the briefing was classified. Trump tweeted Sunday morning.

It remained unclear what, if any, spying was done.

Obama administration officials have said the FBI's use of an informant in counterintelligence investigations is not unusual. Asked if he sees the probe as legitimate, Giuliani, who joined Trump's legal team in mid-April, replied: "Not any more".

Yates condemned the President's demand as an escalation of his efforts to direct the Justice Department's investigative activities "to a different and more risky level" that threatened the public's confidence in the agency.

Exit Polls: Ireland Votes to Repeal Abortion Ban
The eighth amendment to the Irish constitution was installed following a 1983 referendum which approved outlawing abortion. The exit polls suggest that 77 percent of people in Dublin voted Yes - but so did 60 percent of people in the countryside.
