Apple iOS update is causing iPhone microphone problems for some users

The problem is preventing the affected users from being heard during phone calls or FaceTime chats.

Henceforth, Apple appears to be addressing the problem with issuing the support document to the employees at the service centres, which ultimately explains the formal process of running diagnosis of the rear cameras and attempting repairs, before replacing with the new product. It's not illogical to be on toes for what could be a potential game-changer, but before that, the company needs to mitigate its latest iOS update troubles.

Henceforth, Apple seems to be fixing the issue with issuing the service document to the workers in the service centers, which finally describes the proper procedure of conducting identification of their back cameras and trying repairs, even prior to replacing with the newest item.

According to an internal document that was acquired by MacRumors, Apple updated its service policy for iPhone X units suffering from Face ID issues. Basically, the document states that the employees first have to run the diagnostics test to see it the customer's Face ID problem can be solved by repairing the rear camera or not.

Affected devices will display a "device could not detect dock" or "accessory not supported" alert in the diagnostic pane, in which case the service provider can initiate a fix for the iPhone. If it doesn't, then a fix is required.

Apple hasn't publicly spoken about the issue pertaining to the microphone.
