Owners of the MacBook Pro are advised to get their notebooks serviced as Apple today, has announced a new battery replacement program for the 2016 and 2017 model owners. While the flaw does not constitute a safety hazard, Apple is offering to replace any such affected batteries in MacBook Pros worldwide.

On Apple's support page for the MacBook Pro, the company has highlighted the following details about the 13-inch notebook.

Boston, which was the victim of a no-hitter Saturday by Sean Manaea, has lost back-to-back games for the first time this year. Bryant, 26, was hitting.319 with a.461 on-base percentage before getting hit on the 1-2 pitch, a 96 miles per hour fastball.

This affects only the non-touchbar version of the macOS laptop, and only models with a 13-inch screen. The company on its support page writes that the issue is with a small number of MacBook Pros manufactured between October 2016 and October 2017. The battery replacement program will cover affected devices for five years from the date of sale, but doesn't extend the standard warranty. However, Apple didn't reveal the actual number of MacBooks that have been affected by the issue.

If this MacBook does launch it could follow a trend of cheaper devices arriving from Apple.
